Celtic on the brink of loan deal for Shane Duffy
According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are set to complete a one-year loan for Brighton defender Shane Duffy.
The Irish centre-half has been linked with the club for weeks now and it looks like Celtic will get their man at some stage this week.
Duffy 28, has 33 caps for the Republic of Ireland, is known to be a big Celtic supporter and news last week suggested he was determined to push a move through.
Brighton are apparently after a £2m loan fee and they want a big portion of his wages covered.
With a reputation as a no-nonsense centre-back, many supporters believe he is the ideal type of player we need in that area and that his signing could be key in moving back to a 3-5-2 formation more regularly.
Duffy would Celtic's 4th signing of the summer transfer window after the deals for Vasilis Barkas, Albian Ajeti and David Turnbull.
Do you think Duffy's signing means 3-5-2 will become a permanent feature?
